It must be a great experience to have a child. It is a human being full of innocence, curiosity and questions. As parents, it must be very challenging sometimes to reply to their questions with the intention to feed their curiosity while inserting the values one cherishes.
Sometimes it might become even more challenging when an apparent simple question is popped. The parent may struggle in how to explain a complex topic to this human being looking for truth.
This question is an opportunity. Truth is always simple once it is found. Everything becomes crystal clear. Whenver a child asks a question for which the answer seems complicated, it is a chance. A moment of pause to reflect and verify what is the underlying truth beneath all the clutter we put on it.
As adults we often fall into the trap of justifications, of reasoning, of providing an explanation. First to avoid a simple truth, later sometimes by habit of doing so.
Whenever a child asks a question, let's take the moment to look into ourselves, allow us to see what got lost and try to find it.
Whenever a child asks an apparent simple question, it deserves the answer. This question becomes then the chance to clear our answer from its impurities. An invitiation to pure truth.
