Conversation with ego

We seek friends and family to pour our hearts, to feel understood. When we are lucky in finding a good listener, it offers relief, like balm on a wound.
Our worries and fustrations are the voice of the ego.
There is someone else who can listen to you. Someone who can heal the wounds beyond relief: ourself. Our ego can be understood by nobody else better than ourself. One should listen, love and act like a parent to the child. Ego needs discipline and comfort. It needs to know who it is. As long as one fights it, it will feel rejected and rebel. Our role is to lead ego to accept what it is. Once this is done, the fighting can stop. And both work together.
